1. Read Kai Erickson's "Of Accidental Judgments and Casual Slaughters" and prepare for brief discussion. Also read the other essay on the Manzanar internment camp newsletter/newspaper (see syllabus).
2. Some class time will be allowed for (a) researching library indexes and vetted web sites for articles to annotate, and (b) writing the annotations. Annotations are due Wednesday, March 5. See the orange assignment sheet handed out in class and the 3-page list of pivotal events in American history.
